It’s amazing and is helping my child blossom, hands down.
My 3 year old made leaps and bounds when it came to her personal space and the space of her friends during her first year. I regularly see her use phrases that I know her mentors have taught her to convey what she needs to other children her age.
My 10 yr old LOVES these camps. Only organized program that he has ever unequivocally LOVED and thrived in like this.
The Friday program has been great for our older children, giving them a greater sense of confidence and independence, and allowing them to experience things that they wouldn’t otherwise.
White Ash Learning has enabled my child to be in a social learning environment while not being confined to a classroom and allows her to focus on the things she loves.
We love the Deer Isle summer camp, the kids love camping out and attending the program during the day. This past summer they really enjoyed bringing a pot and a bunch of ramen and cooking lunch over the fire for everyone in the program!
I have noticed beautiful expansion of Birch’s personality and self autonomy since starting this program. The container you all create for him and his peers to gather together outdoors and play and learn and support one another has brought him so much joy and built his confidence. I am so thankful for finding this program. Thank you deeply.
There is always something they come back talking about whether it’s something the built in the woods, a whittled stick or learning how to make beeswax torches.
I really can’t even measure how meaningful Clover’s experience has been with White Ash Learning! It’s super awesome. Keep being your wonderful selves. Clover is so happy.
Our grandson was able to make some really good friends and learn how to be social without having us around to cue him as to what to do.
I couldn’t be happier with Clover’s experience with White Ash Learning, the value it adds to her life to just be a free kid in nature supported by loving individuals is invaluable. If you’ve been considering sending your little one, I highly reccomend you do!!!
We wanted to say a massive thank you for camp! The kids had such a wonderful time and learned a lot. They have been telling us things they learned about crows and fires, and we have observed an increased sense of confidence and independence in both kids.
Learning should be fun. Not all learn best in a classroom setting and white ash provides what the public school system lacks in this way.
Our child has had so many experiences that could not be gotten anywhere else from learning the tanning process for animal hides to starting a fire with just a flint and steel and of course making tea from autumn berries, and so many more!
Thanks for putting so much time and energy into all this. Avi really enjoys her days with you.
Our children have experienced interactions with other children of all ages that would not have been possible for us outside of White Ash. They have learned healthy boundaries and the importance of communicating with their peers.
White Ash provides an environment where my children can express themselves in a healthy and safe way.
Winter camp really helped us break out of a rut and open our eyes again to possibility.
My sons have been enjoying the program immensely. I hope you continue to offer it!
Warren loved both weeks he did this summer with White Ash. He especially loved the Monroe location. We’ll be doing it again!!
My daughter LOVES “Forest school” it’s her favorite thing and my favorite thing for her. She gets more benefits than I can name but most noticeably she’s happier calmer and more grounded, it gives her confidence and such a strong sense of self and connected to her natural world. I’m beyond grateful for this incredible resource, it’s all I ever wanted for her.
The four years with White Ash Learning has helped my son learn to interact in (more) cooperative, creative and confident ways with children AND adults. So glad to see this collaborative, creative, confident, enthusiastic being emerging
The project based learning activities are amazing there is no traditional school that will teach him how to tan a deer hide or build a fire with just a flint and steel. He is not restricted to sitting at a desk and is allowed to explore his environment with guidance from his mentors.
